Regional branch office has an immediate opportunity for a degreed and preferably licensed (PE) engineer to be a project engineer in Vanderweil’s Atlanta office location.  Will interact closely with architects, developers, and building owners on various commercial, life science and healthcare building projects.  Successful candidate needs to have knowledge and experience with project planning, system options analysis, and subsequent construction document preparation and construction administration oversight.  Regional (Greater Atlanta) experience strongly desired.  Should have (10) ten years engineering experience with exposure to all aspects of Mechanical/HVAC engineering for renovation and new construction.  Strong written and verbal communication skills required. Revit is also required.

Position Summary: 

Security systems designers are to act as project managers for security projects.  Designers will meet with clients to develop requirements based on customer input and needs in the areas of access control, intrusion detection and closed circuit TV.   Designers will then research equipment, create estimates, create schedules, and provide milestones and status reports.  Designers will then design, specify, plan security systems based on those clients needs. 

    Vanderweil has an opportunity for an experienced marketing coordinator to join our team. This position will be responsible for completion of qualifications, resume formatting, Deltek Vision database updates and related documentation. Should be experienced with Adobe Creative Suite, primarily InDesign, to create top notch content for proposals. These proposals are often highly technical and are deadline driven. Position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail and experience working collaboratively with a team. There is also an emphasis on quality and content in order to compete for selection on client project teams.  Strong interest in the Architectural and Engineering industry is important and proficiency with InDesign is required. This opportunity requires strong writing and editing skills and a high level of organization and strong time management skills.

    The Business Applications Manager will actively work with both internal and external resources to develop and integrate the enterprise application and business workflow environment at Vanderweil Engineers. The role requires the strong understanding of applications such as SharePoint, BST, Newforma and Microsoft Cloud Offerings as well as SQL Database administration & management. The role also requires you to work well with business leaders to learn what the business needs and work with the IT team to deliver that.

    Vanderweil is looking for an individual who can manage our enterprise application environment. You will be the bridge between Information Technology and the Business. Your job will be help IT develop better digital workflows and application integrations to support the business.

      Opportunity to work at Vanderweil's project sites in New England as a field representative solving construction issues with subcontractors.  Will need experience in high end building projects and have a strong foundation of experience with HVAC, Plumbing, FP and Electrical.  Will attend meetings and make schedules for installations.  Should have a working knowledge of Revit and project scheduling software. Minimum of ten years experience in Construction or Engineering.   Degree preferred.

      We are seeking an energetic Administrative Assistant to support the Project Managers and engineering staff
      in our Boston office. Primary responsibilities will include:
       Project/Business Development Administrative Tasks:
      o Word processing and file maintenance for proposals, correspondence, and reports
      o Logistics for organizing and scheduling meetings with multiple people
      o Assisting with travel arrangements for individuals and project teams
      o Processing applications or renewals for subscriptions or memberships
      o Processing program/seminar registrations
      o Maintaining files and documentation control for both network and file folders
      o Fulfilling reprographic tasks including copying, scanning, printing, binding, faxing
      o Coordinating courier and express shipments with the mailroom
      o Excel spreadsheet creation and edits for reports
      o Miscellaneous administrative tasks as required
       Must possess strong interpersonal skills, work well in a team environment, and be capable of working
      independently with self-initiative and motivation. Must have excellent organizational, written, and
      verbal communication skills with a proactive approach to follow up, be very detail-oriented, flexible, and
      able to prioritize and handle multiple, deadline-driven tasks efficiently.
       Must have MS Office 2013 or higher experience and be proficient in Excel and Word. Experience with
      Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam Revu, Deltek Vision, and NewForma a plus.
       The ideal candidate must have an Associate’s degree or higher, and experience with support services in
      the A/E/C industry would be a plus.

      Will work in Technology Design Group and provide Cad support (primarily Revit) on projects for designs including fiber optic cables, audio-visual, closed circuit and security systems.   Will be exposed to state of the art solutions to major building construction projects Tel/Data related.   Should have good communication skills and the ability to work in small teams.  Prior Revit training or experience is a must.  

      The Green Building Project Specialist will be an integral member of Vanderweil’s Sustainability team, responsible for supporting projects of varying size and complexity. The Green Building Project Specialist is responsible for supporting, organizing and controlling green building project activities, under the direction of the Project Managers. 

      In this role, the Green Building Project Specialist will ensure that projects have the tools, resources, and strategies to maximize efficiency and achieve the highest level of sustainability. 

      Responsibilities:

      • Applies best practices in the development, initiation, planning, execution, control and closing of projects and ensures consistent practices throughout all phases of the project life cycle.
      • Leads activities such as scheduling project status update meetings with project teams and be responsible to gather information and prepare meeting minutes and schedule updates.
      • Responsible to take input from a cross functional project teams to develop and maintain a detailed project schedule and execute a high quality, integrated cross-functional plan for projects.
      • Use defined project management practices and procedures to solve problems of moderate scope and complexity.
      • Assists sustainability team and project lead in strategic meetings and follow up.
      • Manage the planning and execution of in-house product development projects while adhering to budget, scope and schedule requirements.
      • Facilitate innovative solutions and creative problem solving between groups and individuals.
      • Interact effectively and appropriately with a cross functional teams in Project Management, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Marketing and Operations.
      • Serves as in-house green building specialist for MEP projects.

      Qualifications:

      • Bachelors’ degree in business, engineering and/ or architecture
      • 2-4 yrs. of project support experience
      • Strong experience with MS Project, Excel, Word, and AutoCad is required.
      • Experience in creating meeting agendas, meeting minutes, project correspondence, documentation, and presentations.
      • Must be able to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
      • Must be able to react to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently and be flexible during times of change
      • Highly developed interpersonal skills with the proven ability to function effectively and tactfully with multiple departments and personnel, able to gain consensus and commitment. 
      • LEED AP, WELL AP is a bonus but not necessary, however it will be mandatory to earn accreditation
      • Green Building, Engineering and/or Architect background strongly recommended
      • Adaptable, quick learner, very detail oriented
      • Excellent communication and organization skills are required
