Transmission & Distribution

Vanderweil’s T&D Specialty Group provides engineering, design and construction support services for T&D projects up to 765 kV. The T&D team has a broad range of experience in power line route selection, licensing, photogrammetry, geographical information systems, structural and cabling design, communication line design, refurbishment and reconductoring, and voltage upgrades of power lines, as well as the design of new systems. 

The T&D team also has extensive experience in both utility and industrial substation installations from 4 kV through 345 kV. The team’s expertise includes site selection, licensing support, development of physical layouts, foundation design, design of grading and drainage plans, control building layout design, structural design, protection and control system design, production of detailed material lists, construction support and project close-out.
