The Boston Public Market, the only locally sourced, permanent year-round market of its kind in the US, is a 28,000 sf space that houses over 90 farmers, fishermen, and food producers throughout New England. The market’s design incorporates flexibility, durability, and utility for vendors and their products. Vanderweil provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection engineering services for the Market located on the first floor retail space of the Parcel 7 Vent building. The Market contains approximately 90 permanent plumbed, electrified, vendor stalls on the ground floor of the existing MassDOT building. Additional temporary exterior vendor stalls are located along the Greenway/Surface Road and Congress Street.
