Mechanical engineering at Vanderweil focuses both on creating healthy and comfortable indoor environments for people, as well as on the generation and distribution of energy. In both these areas we apply common mechanical engineering principles, derived from the laws of thermodynamics to find the most practical and sustainable design approaches. Within this fabric we design HVAC systems and controls for all building types, and central utility and cogeneration plants and thermal distribution systems. We strive to create sustainable HVAC solutions through the use of UFAD, radiant systems, natural ventilation, solar thermal, integrated controls, and other approaches.
Our services include:
Heating, ventilation and air condition (HVAC) systems
Sustainable design integration
Energy modeling
Instrumentation and controls, and building automation systems
