Pentair Valves and Controls’ new Steam Valve Test Facility is located in Pentair’s state-of-the-art manufacturing site in Qingpu, China. The new Valve Test Facility is able to test pressure relief valves ranging in sizes 11 feet, 4 inches to 6 inches, up to 3,100 psig (21.3MPa) pressure, in compliance with strict regulation on China Safety Supervision of Special Equipment as well as the ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code Section 1 Standards. The Pentair facility in Qingpu, near Shanghai, provides Pentair’s worldwide customers with the convenience of one-stop pressure relief valves manufactured, assembled, and tested in the same location. Vanderweil Power Group worked closely with Pentair, and the local EPC contractor, the China United Engineering Corporation (CUC), through the construction and commissioning process. The result of this teamwork was the successful completion of the operation of the Valve Test Facility by August 2014.
