Girard Square is currently configured as a four building, 830,000 square foot complex. NREA Development Services has been retained by ownership to create a new mixed-use development plan for the site. Girard Square, Phase I, involves the demolition of the existing 1100 – 1143 Market Street building and the construction of a new mixed-use complex. Vanderweil is providing MEP and fire protection engineering services for this new development. The project consists of approximately 180 below grade parking spaces, two floors of 120,000 sf retail space, and a 325-unit, 210,000 sf market-rate residential rental building.
